(ISC)2 NOVA Chapter Recognizes Zeneth Technology Partners as Founding Sponsor
In support of Zeneth’s five corporate pillars – Service, Growth, Agility, Creativity and Community – we set a goal in 2017 to become more involved in the local cybersecurity community in the Northern Virginia area. At the beginning of 2018, several of our employees jumped in to help launch an (ISC)2 Northern Virginia (NOVA) Chapter. At the initial meeting in January 2018, Zeneth was well represented within the initial charter roster of over 170 members from non-profit, private-sector, and government organizations, as well as academic institutions. Under the guidance of Zeneth Senior Vice President and (ISC)2 NOVA Chapter President, Dan Waddell, Zeneth employees helped organize and coordinate logistics for monthly meetups throughout 2018.
Recently, Zeneth was able to take a moment to celebrate along with the rest of the chapter. On Thursday January 10, 2019, Zeneth co-founders Tessema Getachew and Rick Jones accepted a plaque from (ISC)2 NOVA Chapter leadership recognizing our collective efforts this past year. Several of our employees and recent new hires also attended the meeting, hosted at Capital One in Tysons Corner. In additional, all attendees enjoyed hearing from the guest speaker, Steven Hernandez, Department of Education CISO, on his perspective of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Zeneth would like to congratulate the chapter, board members and volunteers on their successful launch and express our thanks to the Zeneth employees who lent a helping hand this past year, specifically:
Grady Banister, Melanie Bikowski, Daryl Brydie, Rosalyn Julio, Helen Kenna, Mike Schank, Tess Pringle, Dan Waddell and Darren Wigfield.
